The Brier

The Brier School is a flagship special school in the borough of Dudley with a strong reputation in the local community and beyond. The school is committed to supporting 203 pupils from 4–16 years old with both moderate and complex physical, learning and communication difficulties.

At The Brier School, we believe that everyone has something to offer, and it is our responsibility to ensure that all abilities are recognised and built upon. We are an inclusive learning establishment where children enjoy their school life, make friends, and are educated safely and supportively. Our aim is to educate every pupil in order to become part of society in whatever capacity their needs allow. This vision is encapsulated in our motto: ‘Preparing for life, building on our strengths’.

Our dedicated staff team works tirelessly to create a warm, engaging, and aspirational environment where pupils are encouraged to be confident, curious, and resilient. Through a personalised approach to learning and a strong focus on wellbeing, we strive to ensure that every child is equipped with the tools they need to succeed, both in school and in life beyond the classroom.
